Infrastructure

After implementation of the District’s new radio system, you will need to ensure that the system remains operating at its’ full potential as it does on the day it was accepted. Your new communications system is very critical to the operation of the Rialto School District, therefore ComSerCo recommends protecting the system completely with a two-year maintenance contract (re-newable annually). All of the components of the infrastructure will be covered under the contract with the exception of the antennas and transmission lines. The contract covers the infrastructure 24 hours / 7 days per week / 365 days a year.

Subscriber Units

The subscriber units (Portables, Mobiles and base stations) include Motorola’s two-year factory Warranty that covers defects in material and workmanship. Under the ComSerCo maintenance contract, your batteries, microphones and antennas will also be covered and replaced free of charge. Pick-up and return of all Portable radios by ComSerCo will continue as it is now. Any portable radios needing repair will be picked up from the M/O office during normal business hours. After the two- year contract has expired, ComSerCo and the District can negotiate an extension.

Contract Benefits

As a maintenance customer, you will be given priority over non-maintenance customers. Service calls to contract customers are dispatched on a first come first serve basis. A technician will contact you and establish a time between normal business (8 am to 5 pm) when he will arrive at your location. If the infrastructure requires service, a technician will be dispatched within 4 hours of notification from the district. A phone number will be supplied to allow you to contact a technician 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Items Not Covered Under Maintenance Contract

• Physical abuse, liquid damage and acts of God are considered above contract.
• This contract does not cover failures caused by misuse or attempts to repair of modify equipment by user.
• This contract does not include costs of additions re-programming, re-arrangements or re-locations.
• ComSerCo's responsibility for repair shall be limited to the customer's side of point of connection between customer's equipment and the utility.
